Areas of Practice

Although we have been solicitors to over two dozen public school districts, private schools, vocational-technical schools, and intermediate units for over twenty years, a growing area of our practice in recent years has been that of “Special Counsel.” Where we act as “Special Counsel,” we supplement, but do not replace the services of the regular solicitor. Due to the growing complexity of school law, there are a number of areas of school law that your local solicitor may not be familiar with or comfortable handling due to their lack of experience in those areas. Given that our firm has no area of practice other than education law, we frequently already have extensive experience in an area of law when a problem arises for a client for the first time.
