(New Britain, PA) - Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams announces an addition to its Labor & Employment services for school entities.

In addition to assistance with labor negotiation/relations, contract administration, personnel and hiring policies analysis and other day-to-day employment law guidance, the firm is now offering a formal internal investigations service to help school entities respond to allegations of employee misconduct.

“When school administrators are made aware of the possibility of employee misconduct through a complaint or some other official avenue, the ripples can be far reaching,” said managing partner Ellis H. Katz. “Such allegations can distract from academics, endanger morale, or even threaten human dignity. It is critical to act swiftly, thoroughly and with authority.”

At such an instance, the firm’s internal investigation service steps in to provide comprehensive step-by-step guidance in terms of communication strategies, tactical checklists, reporting guidelines and ongoing policy development. Katz stresses that a comprehensive response will not only help bring such issues to a swift resolution but, more importantly, stand up to scrutiny in court.
