Sweet Stevens Launches New Pool Counsel Service for Labor and Employment

As a result of the success of the Pool Counsel services in Technology and Special Education, we are pleased to announce the establishment of a third subscription-based Pool Counsel service focusing on Labor and Employment.

Posted on in Press Releases and Announcements

The Pool Counsel services are subscription-based arrangements where members are "pooled" on the email distribution of on-demand answers to various questions posed by school entities.

The Special Education pool service has been in operation since 2006 and, in response to great demand, an Educational Technology pool was added in 2013. Offering the service in the Labor and Employment area now gives potential subscribers an additional valuable resource in quickly obtaining the answer to any of a variety of operational questions that arise on a day-to-day basis.

Other benefits of the Pool Counsel services include:

  • An electronic “Resource Room,” where members can log in to their respective subscription area and access the full library of all past Pool Counsel answers, searchable by topic and archived by year
  • Development of policies, guidelines and forms upon request
  • Regular face-to-face consultations
  • Onsite training and in-service programs for administrators, teachers and staff
  • Presentations to students

As an introduction, you will find three downloadable "screen shots" (above) offering views of sample questions and answers that might be shared through the service.

As in each of the other areas of Pool Counsel, the Labor and Employment Pool will have, for a reasonable fixed annual fee, the opportunity to select various levels of participation. That participation can range from simply receiveing emails to any or all of the above services, including receiving material of general application (policies, updates, handouts or outlines), face-to-face consultations, in-service programs and customized materials.

If you are interested in joining the Labor and Employment Pool, please contact Ellis Katz or call 215-345-9111.
