John Audi Presents at PAIU Fall Conference

State College, PA Managing Partner John G. Audi, Esq. of Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams presented at the Pennsylvania Association of Intermediate Units (PAIU) Fall Human Resources Conference on November 13, 2019. The event was held at the Days Inn in State College, PA.

Audi’s presentation covered issues related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), labor negotiation tips and trends, and the topic of Medical Marijuana in schools. Attendees included Human Resource directors, administrators and business managers in the education sector.

John Audi focuses his work on education labor law, public sector law, legal consultation and staff training. He carries over 30 years of experience in public sector labor and employment law. Prior to his work with Sweet Stevens, he served for nine years as in-house regional counsel for the Pennsylvania State Education Association and for 11 years as an administrative law judge for the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board. He is a frequent lecturer on labor, employment and education legal matters.

The PAIU is a nonprofit organization representing Pennsylvania’s twenty-nine regional education service agencies known as intermediate units. PAIU promotes education and networking among members to facilitate operational efficiency and statewide advocacy to allow intermediate units to expand high quality services offered to students, schools and communities.
