Cheramie Walz to Guide Educators on Data, Internet Privacy for Students

(New Britain, PA) – Education Law attorney Mark Cheramie Walz of  Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams LLP will participate in a webinar on the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and use of the internet in schools entitled “An Educator’s Guide to COPPA: Connecting Students to the Internet” on October 29, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. - 2:45 P.M. The webinar is hosted by the Alliance for Excellent Education, a Washington, DC - based education and student policy and advocacy organization.

The webinar is one in the organization’s “Project 24” leadership series, a systemic planning framework around the effective use of technology and digital learning to achieve the goal of college and career readiness for all students. During the webinar, Cheramie Walz will discuss how teachers and school entities can comply with the provisions of COPPA even while the digital component of learning continues to grow both in and out of schools.
