Sweet Stevens Marks 30 Years Since Founding

New Britain, PA –  Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams LLP, Pennsylvania’s first private law firm dedicated entirely to education law, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1995 by nine attorneys, the firm has since grown to 25 attorneys representing more than 290 school and municipal entities in over 50 counties of Pennsylvania.

“Over the past three decades, our firm has remained committed to providing exceptional legal counsel to schools and municipalities across the commonwealth,” said Managing Partner Sharon W. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sweet Stevens took the unprecedented step of making these valuable inquiries publicly available, sharing over 100 real-world legal queries and responses on its website to help all school communities navigate uncharted territory.

In addition to its foundational focus on education law, Sweet Stevens has expanded its services in recent years to include oil, gas, and mineral law; construction law; real estate law; and abstract services. The firm also extended its geographic reach with the establishment of an office in Troy, PA, ensuring dedicated legal support for school entities in the northern tier region of the commonwealth, to supplement its offices in the Northeast (Pittston), Central (Hershey) and Southeast (New Britain) regions of Pennsylvania. 

Since its inception, Sweet Stevens has remained at the forefront of education law, shaping policies and legal precedents that impact schools across Pennsylvania.
