Sweet Stevens Expands Attorney Roster with Brigham, McAlee
New Britain, PA – Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams LLP has expanded the number of attorneys advocating on behalf of school entities and municipalities with the addition of attorneys Daniel Brigham and Joseph J. McAlee to its ranks.
Brigham, who joins the firm as an associate, brings a distinct perspective to special education law, combining his experience as an attorney with almost a decade of experience as an educator. As such, he understands the challenges facing school districts and educators as well as students and families – and the importance of finding practical solutions while navigating the complex legal and educational landscape. He is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania.
McAlee, now formally of counsel to the firm, formerly worked with the firm for several years as freelance counsel in matters largely involving tax appeals. He is a veteran litigator with substantial constitutional litigation experience representing multiple Pennsylvania counties at trial and on appeal in challenges regarding the state personal property tax. He will now represent schools and municipalities in matters involving civil rights defense, employment discrimination defense, labor and employment matters, and general civil litigation. He is admitted to the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
